I am getting this error on my majorbbs v10 audit trail :send error 10053 software caused connection abort
Any idea on what this is?

no just the port number that i use 2626

that is being generated from within WEBD via winsock...

more on this:

10053 is a winsock error with the description "Software caused connection abort." The error happens when the local network system aborts a connection, which might happen if the remote host didn't acknowledge data even after retries.

i was getting this error every 30 minutes so i went through all the settings and turned off all the e-maill settings
no more errors in the audit trail now since its just a mud board no need for e-mail

trust me, good call. my tele-arena test system sat idle for like 45 days the outgoing email
dir got in excess of 13gb where bots found the open port and smtp server.
