Crash - Stryker/Brinker RPG Games

I don't know if I would consider this a bug, since I'm trying to run the WGNT3.2 version under MajorBBS 10 R32, but anytime you first load the game, and it asked you to enter your player ID, if you leave it blank and just press enter, the board crashes, but will successfully restart automatically.

This includes Quest for Magic, Quest of the Alchemists, Alchemy II: The Hangover, Quest for Sorcery, Quest for Zen, Fazuul, and Kyrandia.

The MajorBBS V10 versions of Fazuul and Kyrandia do not have this bug, so maybe the fix is to just wait until there is an official port for the other ones.

Notes passed on to Questman as he owns the modules.

Yes, this has been a known bug for a while now. The same thing happens whether it's the GALxxx or the ELWxxx versions.

For me, on V10, yes... it's all the moonshae stuff. This didn't crash on any versions prior to V10 as far as I know. I haven't had this crash occur in a long time and have cleared my galexcep.out file since then. If nobody else has a crash log to send you, I can fire up a test VM and produce one for you. I don't feel like crashing the actual BBS for this. :)

I will get that information to you tonight when I get home from work.

Also, I noticed Zorgon didn't have this problem but I thought it was based off the same code.

Nah I think Zorgon is a Sort Arts module. It wouldn't have the same bug.

its a message display issue. i checked my ports and it didnt happen but i did notice when pressing enter it shows
you a message containing two variables. unlike the dos product the win32 product will crash if those vars are sent
wrong. it should be two integers, in the case of QFM it is between 3 and 9. i am gonna send all my ports to a m10
vm and ensure it works and then we'll know the culprit.
