Agree with that, I would have email validation as well as Admin validation and not let postings in every forum untill validated, would be more work but will clean up the garbage. Even email validation with a Mod previewing postings first.

It works as a single EXE, no need to plugin any webserver. It's written in RealBasic (www.realbasic.com) and it's much faster than PHP and ASP as they are not interpreted languages, compile to native machine code.

The good point is that it will make very easy to adapt existing modules to RealBasic, and will be far easier to develop new ones than in C code.

alot easier to setup than fido-gates,etc... and simply does its own thing using the FTP protocol.

the networks are completely done and tested using synchronet 3.14
and WWIV 5.0 when i find a way to integrate it into wg ill let ya know.

as Joe has said time and time again net support for wg w/o ...

Actually, Worldgroup is not trademarkable as there was a software product called that that predated Galacticomm's application. Further, there's a company called that.

I definitely favor a name change.

I think the software name WorldGroup is cool and all, but come on...MajorBBS just sounds awsome in a major way (pun intended).

Yes it does work good. Just hate having it switch me back to a lower video mode everytime I use it..how did we get along back then with only 16 bit color and 800x400....sheesh.

MailLink was the add-on that ran MajorNet. We can easily do this, as Dialsoft owns MailLink now. I actually have the code. If you're interested, I can talk to him about taking it over and getting it out there..

I'm looking for a legit copy of Major BBS any version or WG 1.0 2.0 or 3.20 for sale. Would prefer someone that is selling the whole package, like extra addon modules and WG game modules.
