Help with Majorbbs

Post by SouthernCross »

I loaded up some of my old mbbs software today because I want to link my WG BBs and the MBBS together, everything went smooth virtual drivers in everything as smooth as silk.

However, at the end of my trail I get a TCP Error..

I set all the settings rite in the instructions on ip and such. I can log in hitting F7, but I cannot log in externally. Is there a setting for that? A pic of it can be seen here.

Thanks

Looks like the IRC (internet relay chat) is loading and not finding the host server or connecting. Remove IRC with the offline util add-remove modules CNF-7.

You should disable FTP, IRC, NNTP, SMTP, POP3, etc all but rlogin, telnet and the ICO.

Check the packet driver config again, be sure its loading when the server starts. Then check the rest of the TCPIP config the I/O memory handle is correct eg.
Sockets=196
Ethernet= Packet
Packet Interupt= I=0x60 (see when the computer starts it should display)

You may also need to set the date back previous to year 2000.

Here is are the settings, are there more?

Post by SouthernCross »

I posted the pics in a folder on my server. These are the settings, is there more settings I have to change? I believe these are the ones in the instructions. How do I change the date and the Sockets, Packer what setting and the Packet Interrupt?
