I just bought a bunch of DOS networking cards, one that should be able to use with (hopefully) some earlier versions of linux, dos, os/2, etc.. I've got a few spare computers lying around: a 486 dlc 40mhz, a 486 dx 2 66mhz, an IBM 450mhz aptiva, another one with win 95 that I can't remember the mhz, and a 1.2mhz pc.
I guess that leaves me with a lot of experimenting one day.. I've thought of running a mangband server, but the windows version is terrible. One of them is pretty fast but crashes all of the time, but the other one is terribly slow but probably otherwise works well. So, I'd probably have to run the linux version if I wanted to do that.
Who knows - sometimes, it's just fun to mess around with this junk hehe.
Don't know why but

yeah i installed mandriva on a p4/2.80 huge overkill. just to see the difference i instaled it on a p3/1.0 and seems like the 1.0 runs faster, could just be me.Malakai wrote:I just bought a bunch of DOS networking cards, one that should be able to use with (hopefully) some earlier versions of linux, dos, os/2, etc..
