HOTELeconference

I'm having problems getting any of the actions to work as they should. I keep getting messages like the following:

Sorry, they can't see IMPROVED actions.
Sorry, they can't see DEFAULT actions.
Sorry, they can't see BIGANSI actions.

It doesn't matter if the user has them turned on or not on their side nor what class this is set to. It always gives the same message. Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve the issue?

What modules do you have installed? I didn't find any actions on your BBS, but I also did not get any error message like above (if this is happening on your system anyway :))

There are the default, bigansi and improved actions that came stock with HOTELeconference. I have all the hoteleconference modules installed: solitaire, 8ball and the like.

When you did a action list, you didn't see any actions?

uhh, is that a legal license key?
I think that error comes with a known hacked dll.
wierd thou, I had a license key maker for it and never saw that error. thou, you do have to link most of the moduals to menus.
I think, it's been a long time.

I'll just remove it and place it back in with a fresh DLL from Quest Man. My license is good as I received it with the beta Hoteleconference. I'll just dump it and give it another go.

I guess I will have to get the installation again as I'm thinking this one is pooched somehow. Does it even without it being activated.

ok, I looked at my old wg setup.
hotel actions need to be linked into the menu system.
it has a dll and a msg and a mdf which means it must be linked into the system runtime. I.e. it's not loaded up by default.
and I think the default command to call it up in the bbs is ^.
or ^actions for help, I think. read the docs too.
some addons are autoloading, I guess this one is not.

Actions work by default and are loaded in the hoteleconference. The ^ makes the actions global...works anywhere. Actions and global actions don't work in a default installation.

I think there's a problem that's deeper than adding a module...

Yea, I'm running 3.3. I guess I could step it down a version or so but I'm not sure if my reg will work then.

Install WG v3.2 the reg number should work fine and the system will be much more stable :)

I agree with Talonp, install 3.2, I think you will find it works with most NT modules without problems.

I wonder if your global actions are getting confused with the Worldlink commands; ^? brings up the Worldlink menu of globals; ^ does bring up your Hoteleconference help menu.
