Mutants!

I'm running v4.0 on my WG3 system, and I know it is full of bugs. When anyone casts a spell that requires an item to cast it the BBS crashes and reboots in 30 seconds. Does anyone have an older version laying around that I can run on WG3 that may be a little more stable? I love Mutants and this was the main reason I bought WG was to play this game, LOL. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Neal

Can you put together a more detailed bug report if possible? Exactly what happens to cause the issue (full status of the character - stuff in inventory or inventory empty, what rooms apply if not all, etc)? Are there any cases where it doesn't crash? Any cases where it ALWAYS crashes? etc

Mutants NT is not fixable without some one getting the bugs worked out. Here is an old version of my mutants game setup info:
http://nostalgiabbs.servebbs.net/games/Mutants.htm
The above tells all of the spells that causes crashes, but after over a year of it not crashing, some people just managed to play more than they had before, and when their characters got to higher levels to xp in, the game would crash. It eventually got so bad that mutants nt had to be taken down for good.

/agreed
mutants isnt gonna be a quick fix, i cannot see how they ported this to NT and did any testing at all, seems they got it to compile and load under NT then packaged it up and sold it.
very poorly done, clearly money was the motivator for this product,
since most people had the same exact program for WG3 as they did for wg2 with a couple hundred more bucks added to it.

I just edited my Mutants NT game and took out the bad spells and tried to replace some with something comparable, but my question is, how do I reset the game? I changed the XP tables to make the game move a little quicker, and I'd like to reset so everyone can start over but don't see how....?
Thanks

did you read the docs? some games have a reset program.
some you just copy the new blank databases to .dat
but, with your mods you won't be able to.
hmm, figure witch database holds the users and copy that one.
but that might just zap all users and not reset the game too.
