Hi Al good to see you got things up and running again. You should post an add about the bbs in the add area here with some details.

Hi Stone,

I have been trying to get a hold of you for months on your BBS,

I wanted to know how you setup your java doorway as i have tried and failed LOL....... We also talked once about a Door server software and i forgot the name of it ??????

If you have some kinda email way i can get ahold of you OR to be honest i like to just call you over the phone and talk to you about the java gateway and other stuff.......Calling card makes it very affordable to contactr me directly with a number if thats OK nutz@videotron.ca

Perhaps this answer could be posted in another section for others who may want to see how it works. :)

I have been busy, must be just missing you in tc. The Java telnet app can be downloaded here
http://javassh.org/space/Download
the link for the game server which you can telnet or rlogin is called gameserv. It will run almost any old door style game.
http://www.gamesrv.ca/ and yes its Canadian :D

You can check it out on my bbs

It is not the easiest thing to get working, unpack the program to a temp dir for referance, copy all the files into the /wgserv/webpages dir. Then run the .jar file. You then need to configure applet1.conf, b1.conf, b2.conf, colotset.conf, keycodes.conf . Go thru each file and edit the config options to your bbs name and IP. Make a .htm or html page for it to work from and put that in \webpages. Then you can begin seeing what .conf needs tweaking it took me several days to get it figured out and working.

Some of my users use it to login thru thier cell phone to play majormud and tradewars.
Thier are several posts here about JTA telnet with some more help on getting it working.

I know this is alot to ask , but could you possibly ZIP it up and send it........this would be a very EASY way to speed things up and delette the learning curve.........

I bet some Sysops would pay for a install file to achieve this ( smile )....

If you can pack the hole thing UP with a htm page9 in their propper dir structure) i will look at it and make a install package for it over the next few weeks . I am sure any of the guys here would love that...

I Am Canadian LOL
