Was able to score a boxed, sealed copy of WG 2.0 for Windows with 20-user license for the low, low price of $40!

Of anything, it's a fun little piece to have on the bookshelf :P

Haven't loaded it yet, but the disks read 2.00 beta and show several windows utilities in the manuals.

Strange Beta Disk's in a box, you may want to dl the final version from Questman before you install. Then run the licence count disk install.
Nice haveing a manual to refer to, dont forget to send in that registration card :D

I cant see how keeping compatibilty will increase your sales at Arcticzone, it will reduce them if anything.

no, 3.30 is from them as well and 90% of the systems out there run it.

i make entertainment addons for the public and right now the public is mixed on who believes who owns what, i sell to sysops who believe NV owns it and sysops who believe Rick owns it, and even sysops who don't really know and don't care as long as their system is running ok.

when you buy a product like lets say norton anti-virus, they dont verify you legally own windows, they don't even verify where you got your copy of windows, they sell you an activation code which unlocks under a specific version of windows. thats all i do i develop a product that runs under worldgroup.

if one of said WG distributers is illegal, well you all know my take on that, its as simple as 1 phone call saying they are selling stolen software to open an investigation, investigation leads to research, research turns up who owns it, and leads to the fraud distributor being shut down.

elementary stuff actually, so sad its coming to what its coming to.

I just think adding compatibility for both will not be good in the long run. Separate versions would likely be the better path for an ISV. That way one version or the other is not plauged by a different standards which will cause problems more than likely in both.

3.3 wasn't really from NetVillage. It was branded by them but nearly all the work was done by Galacticomm.

hey man i wrote a small mid engine using powerlink using an odbc ms-access database and sql seems a bit laggy at times, any chance you got a galsql sdk lying around i wanna make one on that too to see if i can ease up the lag.
