Hi guys,

I know VIR files are BTRIEVE databases, but why do modules get shipped with both DAT and VIR files?

Is it that the VIR is an original copy of the DAT in case corruption creeps in ?

For war of world demo module, I fixed my version by deleting the DAT and copying the VIR into DAT, but I'm just not sure on what I did

run WOWs .EXE file it will create the DATs ya need.
vir files are short for 'virgin' as in virgin data files "blank"
they reside in GCVIRDAT dir, if ya ever need to reset something use em.
