RLogin Client

Post by bigmelly »

Hello All,

Does anyone have a solution to connecting to a door game server with WG#2?
As I posted in a different post. I do have WG#3.2 but reluctant to use, I do to not having any add-ons for it.
Way back in the the day I used the DOOR feature even had an add-on called "DOORWAY".
But as I remember running door games was a hit and miss and a bit clunky.

So today I'm basically stuck with WG#2 and I see that Vircom no longer supports/sells MAJOR TCP.

Is there a work around that I can do, or do I have to go hide in the corner and cry?

Thanks!

setup synchronet then use my rlogin client..... once done you can enter the door directly from worldgroup with the following command line:

"<ip> -p <#> -d <name>"

that will connect to whatever <ip> you choose on whatever port <#> you choose and enter whatever synchronet external program internal code <name> you have set.

"setup synchronet then use my rlogin client."

Dan,
you have created a rlogin client add-on? If so, I would like to try this out.

How would I go about obtaining a copy?

Thanks for your help.

Did this ever make the distros? If so, how do I access it?

If you installed MBBS 10 it has dspain's rlogin client built in already. If you're running an old DOS version of Worldgroup, you might need to get it directly from him.
