@despain: I ran The Electronic Oblivion BBS (Olathe, Kansas) from 1991- 1994. I still had one in 2000-today, but it is possible someone else named their BBS the same as mine I suppose. My board was originally on RemoteAccess.

@despain: The packet driver you specified definitely DOES NOT work with the machine. however we found a 3rd party driver that does.

We ended up using the Crynwr 3c523 driver and it works now.

Well I am not 100% sure that the problem is fixed, but it does look promising. The disabling of the software acceleration in the WG2 CNF seems to have solved the locking up problem. If the lockup happens again, the next move will indeed be to disable QEMM as we discussed ...

Everything except telnet/Rlogin is off. How do I check what ETL is doing?

There is no Dialup option installed currently on WG2 anyhow.

in the case of the MBBS install, I am using the 68 Node galgsbl that was made for me by Rick himself to make MBBS work with my license. In the case of the WG2 it is the 11 6 pack disk, the WG2 was the original license I obtained.

The only addons in both cases are the ETL.

Error comes up cannot find galetl.msg and kills the WGSERV

I am not really running into any overflows, just not impressed with the Vircom stack at all ;-)

Also, have not sure how to make the ico work... this is MBBS 6.25 not WG.

I got the DigiBoard/MBBS working under DOS, it actually runs under WFW 3.11 until you bring the board up, then I get a handler error and of course it drops out again.

I wrote a PM to Toyduck and hopefully I will be able to obtain the Manuals :-)

Decided to go ahead and use Vircom TCP and it works.

If any of you had logged onto the bbs and registered, you will need to do so again because I just wiped the drive and started over.
