Spammers are running wild on this board. Rick, isn't there some thing you can do to get these from posting?

Laughing, if I wanted porn I'd go look for it, (IF) is the big statement though.

When here though, I want to read subjects on MajorBBS or Worldgroup and also supporting software and addon's. :D
If it's not broke, why fix it!

Agree with that, I would have email validation as well as Admin validation and not let postings in every forum untill validated, would be more work but will clean up the garbage. Even email validation with a Mod previewing postings first.

Yeah after running some non-WG/MBBS related forums for 4-5 years I have to say this has been the worst year of the spammers, since Dec to date.

Agree; I had a hell of a time with email spammers on my system late last year. It looks better here now though.

I added Joe (ccs) as a moderator here to help me as I've been working 60+ hour weeks at work... so I have limited time for webbing...

But the spammers lately on forums have been ridiculous. All forums, not just this one.

They're a bunch of fat losers with no chance at real relationships with women so they sit around and code bots or hand-post filth on message boards.

I think most of them are lazy and think they can get rich driving 'hits' to certain web addresses using those 'get rich quick' and 'make money' schemes posted by a lot of websites. You know, the ones that will pay you for bringing in hits for them....

Not sure if you have checked the IP's out, but I had problems with 2 networks, asian pacific and the ripe network, and finally went to wild card banning blocks from those 2.... the idiots.

Most of that spam shit is so pointless it's more annoying on here than anything else, it's just like highlight and delete I guess if they can own someones box or get some noob to click a link they served their purpose, morons.
