Bypassing Majormud's DMA server codes

When running MajorMud DOS on a DMA server, all local IPs seem to work fine (192.168.x.x) but apparently, there's also a DMA server code needed for every internet static ip address. I'm not sure if metro has been selling these codes or would just give them away in this time, but known codes are included with the majormud dos packages. Why would they include these codes publicly? Because you can only use them if you have the same static ip.

I haven't personally tried this out, but in theory, you could setup two dma servers. The first would have MajorMud on it, and the 2nd would actually just accept internet connections and passthru to majormud. The first DMA server wouldn't see the Internet DMA server's IP but the 2nd local DMA server's IP, which would also be 192.168.x.x and allow it through. No code manipulation, patches, hacks, or cracks.

Both sides would still have to have their own static IP addresses however. It doesn't bypass the need for static ip but bypasses the need to try to get dma codes from metro.

I'm sure people had thought about doing this back in the BBS days, but the cost of building/running a whole new server probably wasn't worth it. Now days, you can get a dos computer for $10 (or cheaper) that should be able to just passthru connections all day long lol. Hell, it'd probably even handle some more mods and such too.

they wouldnt "GIVE" someone a copy of their original reciept without charging em.
its ridicolous how they own all this stuff dont wanna sell, dont wanna support, and lots of people could so do better yet they just sit on it...sigh
