World at War (BETA1)

Post by dspain »

The zombie apocolypse that has taken the nation by storm has made its way into the worldgroup genre.

World at War, an epic online multiplayer game is now under beta testing.

this game pits you against them, you enter the game, choose your profession, and are dropped right dab in the middle of a zombie apocolypse, choose to go the solo route, or team up and get some xp bonuses as you fight your way through old towns, shopping malls, infested neighborhoods, and even in the middle of nowhere, take rest in safe haven towns where you can gear up and trade for better gear, or even join other "settlements" to get aid in your quest for domination over the undead.

the game has an interface like majormud, tele-arena, swords of chaos, etc... however instead of "attack <target>" you have abilities like punch, kick, shoot, slash, stab, etc......

right now professions are:

Soldier - (uses any weapon in game, even firearms)
Medic - (can use abilities to heal others)
Thief - (grew up sneaking and stealing)
Hunter (good wilderness survival, can use firearms)
Brawler (hand to hand combat)

then you just play on, got some really good ideas going into this game, and its a good break from the normal we been used to gives WG something new to tinker with.

game comes with its own database but you may also get a content editor and add your own stuff.

i will post a place to play soon, but the overall engine is about complete.

I like it! A nice contemporary twist on the typical mud games. Need to post "Zombie Kill of the Week". Can't wait to try it out :)
